Inspired by the teachings of Silo
A community of dedicated volunteers committed to making a positive impact on the world — guided by compassion, solidarity, and Silo's profound teachings.
A collective born from a shared belief that meaningful change begins with compassionate action.
Friends of Humanist is a community of dedicated volunteers, inspired by the profound teachings of Silo — the Argentine thinker and founder of the Humanist Movement. His vision of nonviolence, human solidarity, and the search for inner wellbeing guides everything we do.
A collective commitment drives our organisation to make a positive impact on the world through volunteer work — from local community initiatives to broader efforts that contribute to the betterment of society as a whole.

The principles drawn from Silo's teachings that shape how we act and relate to one another.
We believe in the fundamental unity of humanity. Every action we take is rooted in deep respect and care for one another, crossing cultural and social boundaries.
Inspired by Silo's call for nonviolence, we commit to resolving conflict through dialogue, empathy, and peaceful engagement in all our initiatives.
Our strength lies in our volunteers. We nurture an inclusive, supportive community where everyone's contribution is valued and celebrated.
Silo's writings and teachings serve as our guiding light — offering wisdom on inner transformation and the path toward a more just, humanised world.
We think globally and act locally. Our network spans the world, yet our impact is felt most deeply in the communities where our volunteers live and work.
We are driven by optimism. Every initiative, big or small, is a step toward a better society — and we believe collective action creates lasting transformation.

"Treat others as you want to be treated. Make violence no more than the last resort, knowing that when you use it, its consequences will be far-reaching."— Silo
